Join us for an evening of creative exploration where art and storytelling come together! In this interactive workshop, we’ll practice drawing from life and get comfortable with materials like India ink and pastel. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring a sentimental object from home*. As we set up our collaborative still life, you'll have the chance to share the story behind your chosen item—whether it's a treasured heirloom, a favorite book, or a meaningful trinket.
With guidance from our instructor, Kristy Butler, we’ll kick off the evening with warm-up exercises to help us relax and explore the possibilities of our materials. Together, we'll delve into the interplay of light, color, and form while discussing key concepts such as lighting, composition, line, and shape as we bring our still life arrangements to life.
Feel free to bring any personal tools, beverages, and snacks to enhance your experience. We love fostering good vibes and want you to enjoy and unwind during our workshops. Your stories matter to us, and we truly value the time you spend with us! Light beverages and snacks will also be provided.
